Beedi cigarettes and e-cigarettes, as well as their other electronic nicotine delivery devices, are the subject of much debate.
In a recent article in the Journal of the American Medical Association, researchers from the University of Illinois and the University at Buffalo analyzed the safety and ejuice content of more than 1,500 samples from Beedi products and found that the e-cigarette products have significantly higher levels of e-nicotine than cigarette products.
The researchers found that of the ejuices tested, e-liquid contained 4.6% to 5.1% more nicotine than cigarette-grade nicotine.
Nicotine levels were also significantly higher for Beedi cigarette e-juice, at 1.3% to 1.8%.
The researchers also analyzed Beedi cigalike products and concluded that e-cig batteries contained 10% to 20% more battery acid and nicotine than the other types of ejuic devices.
“These results suggest that Beedi batteries may be more vulnerable to the harmful effects of nicotine,” the authors wrote.
While these results may sound alarming, they do not necessarily mean that the products are hazardous.
In fact, they could actually help smokers quit.
According to the American Lung Association, nicotine and other tobacco-specific carcinogens in e-cigs can cause cancer in humans.
A 2010 study found that people who smoke e-liquids are 2 to 3 times more likely to develop lung cancer than nonsmokers.
And in a recent study published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, researchers found evidence that a particular form of e toluene, a toxic byproduct of e liquid manufacturing, may increase the risk of lung cancer.
However, the researchers also noted that they were unable to definitively prove the safety of Beedi e-tobacco products.
In addition, the results of their study did not allow the researchers to determine whether Beedi or its competitors could be safer than the e cigarettes tested.
The Beedi team said the findings of the study were important to keep in mind when evaluating the safety, and effectiveness of e cigarettes, since the e cigarette industry is still developing and many consumers are still learning about the dangers of tobacco smoke.
“The e-bud industry is developing rapidly, so we need to continue to monitor this product,” Beedi said.
“Beedi’s e-Cigarette technology and technology from other companies like e-Tobacco and eGigarette can be a great starting point for those looking to try their hand at e-vaporization and we encourage all those who are interested in trying it to get in touch with us to get the most up-to-date information,” he added.

In a press release, the company said the e cigarette company is partnering with the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association to make a public-health campaign to promote its products.
The American Cancer Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting cancer.
In recent years, the association has been working to reduce the rate of new and preventable cancer deaths.
The association also has supported efforts to promote vaping among adults and to educate the public about the risks of tobacco use.
